Beyond playpen's boundary

Louis is well beyond the boundary of his playpen!

This is not only a demonstration of strength, but the courage of letting go at last moment in order to touch ground. Mama is impressed, but can't stop warning Louis to only do this with Papa or Mama's presence!

Carrying heavy bag

Somehow Louis may have known that students in Hong Kong carry heavy school bags. He started preparing himself by practising with Papa's work bag. Trust that he do fine in future.

Pulling up & down

Louis is acquiring the sense of pulling up & down. He could probably get a job as a "Flag Raising" professional in the Golden Bauhinia Square!

Button Obsession

Louis is obsessed with pressing buttons: light button, socket button, vacuum cleaner button, etc. Mama found him the best toy which can fully satisfy him.

16 months old

Louis has learned quite a bit in the past 16 months:

from playing with various toys and devices,

to utilizing his various body parts to achieve his goals,

to responding to people with many gestures and expressions.

Papa & Mama are very proud of Louis, and pray that he will continue to be a happy child.

Learning to draw

In past few months' playgroups, Louis were not keen in the drawing sessions. We understand that drawing indeed requires higher level of concentration for toddlers at Louis' age. But recently, Louis shows good progress in it, holding the pen a bit better and staying longer in his drawing. Keep it up, Louis!

* Special thanks to Ho Lam Gor Gor for lending us the drawing broad.

H1N1 special - Pasta game

Today Mama has prepared a container filled with pasta for Louis. Mama put some of his toys in there for treasure hunting. Louis also enjoys grasping, pouring and transporting pasta from here to there. It is indeed a good game that can keep Louis busy (and give Mama a break :P ).

H1N1 special - Washing fruits and vegetables

Louis likes to play with messy games in playgroup, in particular, stirring a tub containing things like beans, rices, cereals, or water, etc. Without a maid at home to help clean up, Mama has been avoiding to play such games at home. But since school is closed because of H1N1, Mama decided to let Louis enjoy the games at home as he did at school. Louis seems to enjoy the mini-tub (with a bit of water) prepared by Mama. Mama feels happy seeing Louis enjoying the game.

H1N1 special - things in the sea

Louis's Sunday School is suspended for 2 weeks. Papa and Mama spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon in Sai Kung with Louis. Papa showed him the fishing boat, dragon boat, and how people do fishing. Though Louis didn't look too excited about these activities, hope he had a real life lesson to learn "Things in the Sea" (a book that Louis has been reading).

Strong arms

Louis has strong arms, from his continual pull-up practices. It must bring him lots of fun as this narrow path has become one of Louis' favorite spots in the house.

Peekaboo - restaurant version

Peekaboo is still one of Louis' favorite games, whether at home or in a Chinese restaurant.
