It is a lot fun to see Louis expressing himself more and more. He sends his request and answers questions very well, in his own language. Papa & Mama need to learn how to decipher them though.

Learning while playing
Louis has been going to playgroup for a month since his 1 year old. Mama and Louis have been enjoying it so far. Art & craft is not (yet) his cup of tea but treasure hunting in pasta tab and water play can always get Louis excited. Messing things up seems to be one of his strengths!
Special toy box from GongGong
Louis has a boxful of "toys" in Popo/GongGong's place. Such "toys" are some unused gadgets, prepared by GongGong, and they become good toys for Louis. Louis is learning while playing with these "toys": he can open and close the box, press the calculator button, pick up the phone and put to his ears, and pick up a comb and point to his hair, etc.

Laughters in bad time
Louis caught a fever last week and he was staying at GongGong/PoPo's place with Mama while Papa was on business trip. Though taking medicine was not fun and it made Louis feel tired, GongGong and Popo could always bring Louis some fun out of the bad times.

Louis & Mama joined Papa's company BBQ dinner. Seemed that Louis enjoyed sitting around the fire with other kids in the children's corner. He had his plate ready but wondered why he didn't get his share.

13 month old
Today, Louis turns 13 months old! It also marks a milestone - the weaning from breastfeeding. Louis has been breastfed 100% for first 10 months, and it took 3 months for a gradual (and smooth) transition to bottle-feeding.
Mama still remembers the sleepless nights for breastfeeding, especially the first few months. But it's all worth it, as the intimacy and bonding built between Mama & Louis is invaluable & memorable. Mama already misses the feeling.

Rules and regulations
Becoming toddler comes with learning rules and regulations. Louis is now well trained to sit well on the bench while Papa and Mama help him wear his socks and shoes before going out. Same thing when he returns home. Good boy, Louis!

Louis made the real pressing on the button with his finger tips (instead of his whole hand). What an achievement!
