Protection

Papa & Mama has taken away the floor mat since Louis has learnt to crawl. Mama believed that by touching the floor directly Louis can get a better sensation and hence would learn the balance better.
Recently, the mat was put up again, after Louis has mastered walking. But now the main purpose of the mat is to protect the floor, from the various objects that Louis is eager to drop onto the floor.

Shapes

Out of the various puzzles, Louis seems to like this one the most. He likes to put "Papa", "Mama" and various family members into the right place. Looks like he's a Family Man!

KKL

KKR's (a world-famous private equity fund) glorious day is over! A new powerful trio is going to conquer this world - "KKL" (Kyle, Kyra & Louis)!!!
Thanks to uncle Franky, auntie Eva and the two Ks visiting our new home!

Scarf

Louis likes to hide behind this scarf from Popo. He might think that other people cannot see him, but somehow he can see others (as the scarf is semi-transparent). How fun it is!

17 months old

Louis loves the shopping mall downstairs. He knows exactly his whereabouts strolling around the mall, as he spent a good portion of his past 17 months in here. (and yes, Louis turns 17-month-old today!)

8 Roses

8 years ago, on this same day, Papa proposed to Mama and was fortunate enough to hear her "yes".
Today, Mama is pleasantly surprised by 8 roses Papa brought home after work, and brought back sweet memories of this special day.

Mama got the power

Louis has been fed with various kinds of food in past months, and he's now ready to return the favor (especially for those food that he doesn't want to eat himself).

Pray & Please

Louis has been taught with the 2 important "P"s - "Pray" and "Please" since his young age. Now Louis is very used to communicating these 2 words with hand signs. He knows to put his hands together before meals, and he will take out his hand and say "itsss" (= Please) when he wants something from Papa/Mama. Good work, Louis!

Running around

People always say toddler at the age of 1-2 year old is the most adorable stage. Papa and Mama cannot agree with it more, as merely seeing Louis running around without any reason already bring them lots of joy.

Slope-and-stair

Louis enjoys this "slope-and-stair" combination - whether it's "up slope, down stairs" or vice versa, he has great joy in it and can keep repeating the loop, again & again ...

Summer Gym

Mama has just signed up a baby gym course for Louis. He is fascinated by the colorful structure in the classroom and is very keen to try out the new adventure. The only thing that he doesn't like is the swing. He has probably changed his taste as he had fun with it before when younger.

Anyway, there is no harm to give it a try, right?

Silly face

Parents sometimes need to be silly. See how happy Louis is with this one of the many silly games invented by Papa/Mama.

Pointing

Louis is getting better on using his finger to point. He points to things or people that draw his interest. He points to places that he'd like to go. Also during the reading time, Louis likes to point to things for Papa to read.
Louis, keep on practising your language (and body language) skills, though it doesn't necessarily mean you can always get what you want. :P

Check point hunting

Louis likes the auto-sterilizing hand gel so much. He can detect every single one of these machines in our estate and shopping mall downstairs. Apart from cleaning hands, Mama found it a very useful tool to serve as checkpoint to keep Louis walking by himself.

New Home, New Playground

As promised to you, Louis, our new home is set up like our old place. Your toys and books are nicely placed in the living room. The new TV cabinet shelves are reserved for all your belongings, easy for your reach. The window side pathway is set clear for your catwalk. The placement is slightly different but you seem to like it even more: From window side jumping down to sofa, crawling to the other end, landing on the wooden box there, then to the floor. It's almost like a mini-adventure for you!



Papa and Mama promised to set up a new window shade in your room. It has colorful animals on it and you like to point and make "er er er" sound, to say hello to them. Thanks for approving our choice of your window shade!


Last but not least, we are so proud of you Louis, as you slept through the 1st night in this new place. You are such an easy-going kid!

Get set to move

I hope you like our current home. We have spent your infant stage in this place happily and joyfully together.

We used to put you on the window side where you can enjoy sunbathing in the day and star sparkling at night. Now you always walk on it as if it is a catwalk. You also like to enjoy your private time playing with your toys there too.


We have a small yet nice and comfortable sofa. Papa and Mama used to tailor-make a nice bed for you with our cushion and blanket. We think you enjoyed lying on it, listening to Papa & Mama's conversations and sometimes the TV programs. Now you walk, climb, and jump on the sofa and like it as much as you do when you are small.


Sorry that your room isn't too fancy. You actually shared the place with our book shelves. Every morning the first thing you see are probably the books. Is it why you like reading? ;-) You are such a good kid who don't mind sharing and we appreciate it a lot. By the time we move, we will furnish your room better... with the new curtain. :P



There are indeed lots of memorable moments we have spent in this home. Papa and Mama will surely miss it. How about you, Louis?



Anyway, Papa and Mama promise you to set up all your belongings in the new place as much as you like in this 57A flat. We won't forget to pack and bring any single toys and books of yours. Of course, we are glad to see you help packing yourself too! :)


Let's go! A new place is ready and Papa and Mama are sure there are lots of happy and joy happenings ahead of us in this new apartment.
